Chris Taylor is a seasoned financial professional passionate about driving growth and optimizing financial performance for early-stage and small businesses. Chris has established himself as a trusted fractional CFO for businesses seeking expert financial guidance, without the commitment of a full-time hire. He has served as an investor and advisor for small businesses, helping to establish strong financials and unit economics resulting in highly profitable and sustainable business models. 

Prior to starting ezer21 LLC, Chris had a 25+ year career in finance, accounting, and corporate development with a track record of success in various industries including medical device, managed care, food distribution, consumer packaged goods, light manufacturing, and several others. He has served as CFO for several small business organizations, contributing to their financial stability and strategic development. He’s helped secure millions in equity and debt capital, scaled finance and accounting functions, and established cash and risk management capabilities. 

Known for his analytical mindset and detail-oriented approach, Chris believes in fostering collaborative relationships with clients, understanding their unique challenges, and tailoring financial solutions to meet their specific needs. His goal is to empower businesses to achieve financial excellence and sustainable growth.

Chris holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, is a mentor, advisor, and judge for numerous early stage and small businesses accelerators and pitch competitions. He, his wife, and four boys reside in Arden Hills, MN where you will likely see him frequently training for his next Ironman competition.

Dayna J. Taylor

Chief Relationship Officer & Managing Partner

Dayna has over 20 years experience in partnership and relationship cultivation. She is an expert at strategically connecting with people and advancing the mission of organizations through passionate, concise communication. She also gets great delight in meeting new people and learning about their perspectives and passions, finding ways to support and help them in their specific needs.

Specifically, Dayna has 20 years experience in many different areas of nonprofit fundraising including phonathons, grant writing/management, sponsorship development, and directing annual as well as capital fundraising. During this time she has also collaborated on marketing for these purposes as well as content development.

In addition to this role for ezer21, Dayna is an experienced startup CEO of a healthcare company and therefore knows what it’s like to run a small business. As a startup CEO, you are awesome at the problem you solve (product or service) and working at your business. You do not need to be an expert at all the different areas of business including finance.
